PUTTING FAMILY BUDGETS FIRST

With a $2 billion surplus, Governor Dayton and Democrats wanted to spend every last penny. House Republicans successfully limited spending to one of the lowest increases in the past 50 years, protecting taxpayers by balancing the budget and funding our priorities. Under DFL control spending increased more than twice as fast as with the House Republicans holding 1/3 of state government power.
